Olubunmi Aborisade, PhD is a Professor of Media and Communication Technology. He is an international scholar whose research spans across media, communication and technology.
He is the author of Citizen Reporters: How technology transforms news gathering, reporting and distribution and Pains of Exile: From Newsroom through Barricade to Ivory Tower. Professor Aborisade has spent the last decade trying to find the intersection of media, communication and technology.
He is a Professor with the City University of New York (CUNY) Professor Aborisade, a teacher, researcher, media expert and a technologist is the CEO of Upskill Career Path (UCP); an IT Firm established to discover and develop “Raw Talents” in African countries and connects them to developed countries for career and job opportunities. He has over decade of experience in academics, media, communication and technology in Nigeria, Ghana and USA.
Professor Aborisade, a philanthropist and a human rights activist created UCP to provide a platform for young Africans to hone their skills and Ups-kill their career and reposition them in the Digital Technology space.

Ojo Omope Sunday, popularly called Oj began a career in Information Technology in early 2000 when computer was not common in Nigeria.
Then, there was no cell phone in his home State, Ekiti State and everybody in Ekiti looked forward to the day the use of cell phones and computers would be extended to Ekiti State. One thing that was certain was that, sooner than later, Ekiti State would soon be flooded with cell phones and computers. This dream became a reality with the creation of Ekiti Sate on October 1, 1996.
This development opened doors of opportunities for many young Ekiti indigenes in Computer Technology within the first few years the State was created. Oj left Ado Ekiti, his home town for Enugu to learn how to use and repair computer. So, for one year, he was in a computer school learning different programs and how to fix Computer.
When Oj returned to Ado Ekiti after one year of rigorous Computer training, he became one of the very first computer technicians in Ado Ekiti. Oj later went to the University and graduated with a degree in Accounting.
He has since been working in the field of Information Technology before he joined UCP as Operations Manager. He also took the UCP’s Course in Full Stack Web Development which makes him qualify as a Full Stack Web developer.

UI/UX Designer, UpskillCareer

Rilwan had a brief spell with UCP in his final year at the University. Then, he trained himself attending Booth Camps on UI/UX Design and worked on some projects for UCP before he went back to the University to complete his degree. He has completed a five year University degree in Engineering and he hopes to do his one year mandatory National Youth Service with UCP. During this period, Rilwan will serve as UCP’s UI/UX Designer and will attend UCP’s next Full Stack Web Developer’s Program. He will also work as a Content Creator to help improve UCP’s visibility on social media, search engines and the internet as a whole.

With a degree in Accounting, Victor joined UCP as a Digital Marketing and Brand Specialist. He participated in UCP’s Full Stack Web Developer Program and did very well. He was immediately charged with the responsibility of developing a very robust e-commerce online Platform for UCP. He sees this position as a challenge and an opportunity to continue to hone his skill in the digital space. He accepted the offer with philosophical calmness as he continues to navigate his ways through the e-commerce terrain. Haven completed the UCP’s Full Stack Web Developer’s Training Program; Victor now works as a Junior Full Stack Web Developer with UCP and he has since become a dependable staff of UCP.

Ayodele Michael Oba joined UCP as a Creative Designer in charge of Web design and Graphic Design. Michael is one of the UCP’s pioneer staff. He took the UCP Full Stack Web Developer Course which makes him qualify as a Full Stack Web Developer.
Michael represents one of the reasons for UCP-to provide a platform for young people to up-skill their career with Digital Technology. Michael studied Education Management in the University, but later took advantage of Information Technology for a career change.
He decided to learn Graphic Design and Web Design to make him more marketable and he is doing well in the field of Information technology. Michael is a good example to emulate by graduates out there looking for job who my want to make a career change to escape the pains of unemployment.

Godsfavor is a dynamic leader who is focused on leveraging on technology to create innovative solution for businesses and organizations. He is always coding and designing marketing campaigns to deliver the best possible result.
He wears many caps at UCP as he oversees the Multimedia studio, Content Creation/Digital Marketing and Branding departments.
